About Us

The Physicians Centre Hospital (TPC) is a 16-bed physician-owned inpatient facility with six operating rooms and two endoscopy suites. We provide inpatient pharmacy services, have pathology and laboratory capabilities as well as a diabetic education team. Our diagnostic imaging includes: computed tomography (CT), digital x-ray, magnetic resonance angiogram (MRA), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and ultrasound.

For over 10 years, our patient family has given us the highest patient satisfaction scores in the Brazos Valley, with 92% of our patients reporting that they would “definitely recommend the hospital” to others. At TPC we treat our patients as family, because that is how we see one another. We are privileged to serve those in our community, providing high-quality, compassionate and attentive, affordable care. We want each and every patient that walks through our doors to have an excellent, uplifting experience even though difficult circumstances may bring us together.

We are thrilled each time we receive a little note or a short letter that expresses the exceptional experience our patients and their families had with us. You may be surprised by how many people share kind words with us as they’re leaving our hospital, while in the same breath saying that they would love to stay another day.

What does it mean to be a "physician-owned" hospital?

We assure you, being physician-owned is more than just a catchy phrase.

Unlike larger facilities in the area, our physicians and staff are able to focus more time to provide personalized attention to each member of our patient family. This allows our healthcare providers to have much more direct involvement in every aspect of patient care. Our physician-partners are invested personally, professionally and financially in making sure patient care vastly exceeds patient expectations as well as the performance of those organizations around us.

According to government data, physician hospitals experience significantly lower mortality rates and complication rates. In fact, patients are three-to-five times more likely to experience complications from anesthesia and infections caused by medical care at community hospitals than at physician-owned hospitals. As a physician-owned hospital, we emphasize efficiency and avoid wasteful spending, expensive administrative costs, unnecessary tests and services and other factors that contribute to today’s increasing cost of health care.

Below are some figures showing how our patient family has rated us over the last several years, which helps quantifiably demonstrate how our physician-owned hospital has provided superior care to our patients.
