Insurance and Billing Policies

Insurance and Billing FAQs

We have included insurance and billing information to help make you aware of what to expect before you come see us. We know that dealing with insurance companies might be frustrating from time to time. We encourage you to call your insurance company and iron out the details of coverage before we see you in order to avoid frustration while at registration.

We want your experience to be as stress-free as possible. If you have any additional questions about insurance and billing processes that you think would be valuable to include on this page, please do not hesitate to let us know by clicking this link and using the form provided.

Should I bring my insurance card with me to the hospital?

Yes, the information on your insurance card is needed for the hospital to file a claim with your insurance company or companies. When you register, we will ask for information about your insurance coverage and have you sign a few forms. This registration process goes much faster when you bring your insurance information with you.

What insurance plans does TPC accept?

We accept most insurance plans, but it may be a good idea to check with your health insurance company to make sure you verify your coverage benefits and your responsibility for costs.

How does the billing process work?

The Physicians Centre Hospital accepts medical insurance and submits claims on behalf of our patient family who provide sufficient coverage information during the registration process. Insurance company reimbursement is subject to rules and requirements listed in the terms of the patient’s coverage plan. These may include verification, pre-authorization, confirmation of medical necessity, deductibles and co-payments.
